about

The first volume of The Sixty-Six-Six Days of Halloween Series. Common studio-inspired thematic elements: Creaking crackling footsteps, synthetic forest-scapes, cavernous bass, Doppler swoops.

My music is already thought of as "spooky," so I will run with it. Here, I considered the experiences of being buried alive, being lost in a murderous maze (man-made or not), being lost in a dream, semi-lucid hallucinations, the sound of silos, the envelope of hulls and cockpits of various crafts I can only imagine, blistering and ear-popping silence, and meditation-induced phantasmagoria (i.e. what I see and feel during deep concentration - positive, negative, and / or neutral).

I recently overcame claustrophobia and severe anxiety, but, for some reason, my inclination for motion sickness increased. These things also bleed into this set of works.

I should also mention my semi-recent dive into True Crime, cold cases, increased thoughts about monsters on Earth and otherwise fear and excitement around moral lawlessness.
